The B9053 is a short link in St Ola parish to the south of Kirkwall, connecting the A964 at Upper Scapa to the pier in Scapa Bay, where the road just ends.
The equally short B9148 which connects back to the A963 on the southern edge of Kirkwall meets the B9053 at a TOTSO about two-thirds of the way along. The original end of the B9053 was at this spot, on the original line of the A963.
