The B922 is a short B-road in central Fife between Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes. It starts in Cluny at a mini-roundabout on the B981 (former A910) and heads north west. soon reaching open country. It drops down hill to cross the Fife Circle Railway Line and then the River Ore at Cluny Bridge before climbing again around a sharp double bend. After crossing the summit of around 90m it dips to cross another railway line and then the Lochty Burn. The road climbs once more and ends shortly afterwards at a T-junction on the B921 to the east of Kinglassie.
History
As originally classified in 1922, the route continued further north. After a short multiplex east along the B921 it climbed between fields, past what is now Fife Airport, to a summit on the shoulder of White Hill at 173m. A sinuous descent snaked down to a sharper left hand bend and a much steeper drop to the River Leven which was crossed on Auchmuirbridge. The A911 was then met on the north bank of the river, a couple of miles west of Leslie. This section was still classified in 1973 but was presumably downgraded with the growth of Glenrothes New Town just to the east.
