The B929 is a short link road to the east of Kirkcaldy. It starts at a mini-roundabout on the A955 (former B927) on the eastern edge of Dysart. The routeheads north along Boreland Road, crossing a couple of fields before reaching Boreland and so becoming built-up for the first time. The road runs along the full length of Boreland Road through the linear village which is separated from the rest of the Kirkcaldy urban area by the railway line. The northern end of the route is called Randolph Crescent before it comes to an end at a small roundabout on the A915 on the edge of the town.
The 1922 MOT Road List defines this route as: Dysart - Junction with A915
