The bridge across the River Endrick at Ballochruin carries a quiet unclassified road. There are actually 3 bridges here, two road bridges and an old bridge carrying the water main down to Glasgow. The road currently uses a modern metal bridge which spans between the other two, and as these bridges are so close together it is no wider than the old stone arched bridge next to it, begging the question of why it was ever replaced. The old bridge has three stone arches, two spanning the river while the third is a smaller arch on the south bank, perhaps a flood arch. The roadway is almost two cars wide but now relegated to a footbridge.
The modern bridge is a single span steel structure, slightly more substantial than a bailey bridge. It is only a single lane wide with metal barriers as parapets.
