Birmingham International Airport is a major airport in Solihull borough, serving Birmingham and the surrounding area. It is near the M42 and A45 and the M6 isn't very far to the north. With the National Exhibition Centre, National Motorbike Museum various business parks and Birmingham International Station (which is served by intercity and regional trains, as well as local, and functions like a parkway station) close to the Airport, the area is a major destination. Under the 2010 High Speed 2 plans, a station on the high speed line will be put in the Birmingham International area, adding to the area's importance as a major destination for traffic. It became a Primary Destination in 2011.
