Blandford is an important market town in eastern Dorset, renowned for its Georgian architecture, and much more importantly for being the home of the Great Dorset Steam Fayre. This is actually held a few miles to the north at Tarrant Hinton, but is known familiarly as simply 'Blandford' by its fans.

History
Before Blandford's bypass was built, the A350 and A354 used to meet in the middle of town, multiplex across the river and then merge once more.
