The Bradford Bridge is a road bridge over the River Blackwater in Braintree, Essex. The bridge is on the alignment of a Roman Road between Chelmsford and a settlement northwest of Halstead. The road is now B1053 but has previously been part of the A131, before Braintree was bypassed.
The bridge's name comes from the Old English "broad ford", describing the area around the Blackwater, which is now a country park. This is similar to other settlements with the same name.
