Bramcote Island is at the junction of the A52, the A6007 and the B5010 at the end of the Sandiacre/Stapleford By Pass. It used to be called the 'Sherwin Arms' due to the public house there.
The A52 runs between Newcastle-under-Lyme and Mablethorpe, Lins.
The A6007 runs between Stapleford and Codnor, Derbyshire.
The B5010 was the original A52 and runs between this point and Thulston, Derbyshire via Stapleford and Sandiacre.
