Bristol Airport is an airport serving Bristol and the 9th busiest airport in the UK. It was proposed as a Primary Destination in 2010, but rejected as it was already served by the Primary Route Network, close to an existing Primary Destination (Bristol) and wasn't a top-7 airport [1]. It is, however, a node on the TEN-T network, with the route north to the M5 at junction 18, part of the comprehensive trans-Europe road network.

The A38 was diverted around the airport to make room for the runway.
