For the original access to Burnt Mill north of Harlow, see Burnt Mill Corner.
Burnt Mill roundabout is a roundabout at the entrance to Harlow New Town, when coming from the A414 Hertfordshire direction. It is a typical New Town roundabout, with large grassy island and surrounding verges.
In 2013 approaches and the circulatory carriageway were widened, as the roundabout plays a key part in traffic movements within Harlow, as well as an entrance for through traffic from Hertfordshire wanting to access the town or the M11.
The roundabout was named as it was near a village called Burnt Mill - its railway station (now called Harlow Town) was originally called Burnt Mill (source: Visit Harlow)
