The C101 works in conjunction with the C100 in providing access to the quarries on Jersey's north coast. It starts on the western side of St John village and heads north, past the church and shops, and then comes to an end at a squashed crossroads, with the C100 running left and right and a green lane also squeezing in on the left. The road is two-way throughout, and has clearly been improved to better access the quarries.
