Chieveley Interchange is junction 13 of the M4, and is a roundabout interchange linking it to the A34. Chieveley services is also accessible from the junction.
Originally built as a regular roundabout interchange, it was later bypassed on the A34, effectively creating a 3-level stacked roundabout, although the A34 does not directly cross the roundabout. There are grade-separated junctions on the slip roads between the A34 and the roundabout.
A small section of the original route of the A34 still exists as part of the Hilton Hotel. The roundabout was built slightly east of this, to avoid the riding school (now the hotel). The A34 approached from the south-west, having arrived through Donnington.
The new junction was originally planned to open at the same time as the Newbury Bypass, but the funding wasn't available.
