Newport Bridge is a crossing of the River Usk in Newport city centre. The route was originally the A48, however it became the B4591 when the A48 was rerouted over the George Street Bridge in 1964. Following a more recent re-routing the A48 now crosses the City Bridge. An earlier stone bridge on this site was constructed in 1800.
