Corner House is a TOTSO junction on the A77 approximately a mile south of Stranraer. The route turns west here to pass through the small village of Lochans and so reach its terminus in Portpatrick, while the A716 continues south towards the Mull of Galloway. The junction is a simple T junction without any turning lanes, although there is a very narrow hatched strip along the centre of the mainline. When originally classified in 1922, the southern arm of the junction was numbered as the A715. However, within a couple of years this route had been partially swapped with the B736, leading to the A716 being extended north to the junction.
