Crieff Road Roundabout is the junction of the A85 and A912 to the north of Perth City Centre. From here, the two routes multiplex south to the A989 Perth inner ring road. The A912 either side of the junction is the former route of the A9 through Perth. It is dualled for most of the mile or so north to the Inveralmond Roundabout where it terminates on the A9. The A85 also heads northwest along Crieff Road to meet the A9, this time at the St. Johnstone Interchange. The junction is a simple 4 arm roundabout, albeit with all four arms within the same half circle, the A912 forming a straight through route with no exits on the north east side. The fourth arm, is the residential cul-de-sac of Inchaffray Street.
The junction was previously a fork, with the A9 running straight through, and the A85 forking left when heading out of the city centre. However, prior to the opening of the bypass, there was no real alternative route between the A9 and A85 to the north of the city, so there would have been a considerable volume of turning traffic negotiating the sharp bend. The roundabout has been built in the V of the fork, where there was some open space before the first houses were reached.
