The Dartford Heath interchange was built in 1972 as part of the Second Dartford Bypass. It is a fairly standard Roundabout Interchange for the A2018 for Dartford and Bexley. The old road joined the current A2 a little west of here where today the road is used mainly to get to the local Household waste centre.
