The bridge at Dunwear, just a mile or so north of the Huntworth Junction (J24) not only crosses the River Parrett, but also the Bristol-Exeter Railway line, the Bridgwater to Taunton Canal and two minor roads. It is therefore a significant structure on the M5 as it heads south across the vast plain of the Somerset Levels.
