Description:A12 Hackney Wick to M11 Link (Temple Mills), looking north

The A12 Temple Mills Flyover first opened in late August 1999, along with the Hackney to Leytonstone section of the new M11 Link Road. This section is D3, 50mph, and has no intermediate junctions. The Leytonstone/Wanstead section (D2, including the tunnel beneath George Green) opened a few weeks earlier. However, the short tunnel (D2) beneath the Green Man at Leytonstone didn't open till the following October. It is 40mph, whilst George Green is only 30mph.
