Description:A sign showing a diversion route from the A38 via the A4029. (The diversion in question continued onto the A441, Belgrave Interchange and round the A4540.) The sign is somewhat suspect, given that despite the roadworks, just continuing along the A38 would have been a faster way to reach the signposted destinations (the A38(M) and the M6); the roadworks in question affected several junctions on the A38 but not the straight path. Nonetheless, it serves as an example of the A4029 being used as a diversionary route.
