Description:The middle of M50 J6

The Blanchardstown exit of the M50 (J6) is quite an interesting one. A roundabout carrying the N3, the main Dublin - Sligo railway, and the Royal Canal all pass over the M50 mainline. The towpath beside the canal should provide a good vantage point for observing the upgrade works once they start here. This shot was taken from the canal, facing south: the railway line is in the foreground, with the southern arm of the N3 roundabout in the background. It's a very large diameter roundabout (160m).
