This a very busy pedestrian crossing in Lincoln city centre. Presumably people crossing on red is a problem here.

This sign, in the centre of Lincoln, is (I think) informing drivers that a right turn can be made by going around the roundabout at the far end of the bridge (immediately to our left) . Thankfully I first saw sign as a pedestrian, as it took me a while to work out its meaning.

These signs are on the approach to a tidal flow road just south of Lincoln City Centre. Presumably the yellow signs were demed necessary because of people not obeying the signs?

Non of the large group of people I was with were certain of the meaning of this sign on a pedestrianised portation of Lincoln High Street. There are several instances of this sign, all of them displayed on their own. There aren't any No Cycling signs displayed anywhere.

The oldest archway in the country that can still be driven through, it formed the northern gateway to the city, spanning Ermine Street. Originally there was a third arch, on the left. The ground level is about 10 feet higher than in Roman times so it was much taller when it was built in c200AD. The main arch was damaged by a lorry in 1964. Unusually for the 1960s, it was not seen as an opportunity to widen the road, but was rebuil
