I think it's a great photo and shows Glasgow off to great effect

Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Nov 16, 2007 by GlenOne of the carriageways of the M8 through the J20 to J22 complex. The M77 sliproad to our left, the M77 mainline passing over and the M8 to our right. This will become the M74 (and a lot busier) should the proposed extension be built.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Mar 18, 2008 by A8000_BobLots of lanes (and hard shoulders and ghost islands) where these two motorways meet! I'm standing over the eastbound carriageways, looking east in the evening light.

Familiar from traffic reports. There may be 15 lanes but this does tend to jam up easily. The M77 leaves the M8 here for Ayrshire.
Revised M8 Eastern terminus at the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass - no longer does traffic from two special roads have to stop in order to let out traffic from a ruddy shopping centre!!! I've tried to do this in a way which could actually be achieved in reality without too much digging / building. (Access to said ruddy shopping centre is from the A71 to the South and from the A8/Gogar roundabout - which I'm going to set about rebuilding next!)
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jan 27, 2008 by parristimThe Glasgow Extention is now under Construction. This will allow easier access to the M8. At the monment traffic has to use the M73 to get to the M8.
Originally uploaded to Coppermine on Jun 17, 2005 by ABeatonSo this is the end of the A74 Story. The A74 is dead. The fate of the A74(M) is to be renumbered to M6 up to J13. The M74 junction Numbers have been renumbered to a new sequence as the Glasgow Extension is now finished. 350 miles of Motorway from Leicestershire to Glasgow.
