No red bridge at Redbridge
Redbridge roundabout looking east. The original red bridge spanned the Roding a short distance to our left. The flyover carries the M11 north and the A406 south towards a possible future Thames river crossing. Redbridge tube station is centre-right. This stretch of the Central Line opened in 1947; the tunnels had been constructed before the war and were used as a munitions assembly plant during the war.
