Glounthaune Junction is Junction 1a of the N25. It is limited to a single slip road giving access FROM the L2998 / L3004 Glanmire-Glounthaune road (and the North Esk rail freight terminal) TO the N25's eastbound carriageway only.
As part of the Dunkettle Interchange Improvement Scheme, this junction would be upgraded to become a grade-separated dumbbell interchange designed to serve local traffic flows.
