A TOTSO junction for the Oxford Ring Road. It gained filter lanes in 2015.
The junction started as the small Hinksey Hill Roundabout where the single carriageway Oxford Southern Bypass met the existing A34. The roundabout was enlarged when the A423 was added in the 1960s, and then in 1973 the A34 was upgraded to dual carriageway and Hinksey Hill gained an underpass.
