Hugh Town is the administrative capital of the Isles of Scilly, and the only substantial settlement on the main island of St Mary's.

Hugh Town is where the A3111 and A3112 meet, at a junction by the town hall and close to St Mary's Harbour. The A3111 terminates next to the harbour, at the entrance to the pier, and as such is England's most westerly classified road.
