Ledmore Junction is the northern end of the A835, a road which has crossed the Highlands from Tore Roundabout near Inverness to Ullapool as a primary route, before heading north up the west coast to Ledmore. The A837 has also crossed the Highlands, from Invershin near Bonar Bridge on the east coast, and continues on to the west coast fishing port of Lochinver.
The junction is a simple T-junction set in a remote spot of Sutherland. Ledmore is little more than a handful of houses nearby. The A835 has been S2 for its entire length, and the A837 north continues as a full two-way road all the way to Lochinver, however heading east it very quickly degenerates to single track with occasional wider sections.
