It is by Llandeilo Bridge that the A483 – a major north-south road connecting Chester with Swansea – crosses the River Twyi immediately south of the town of the same name. Constructed in 1848, the bridge has a clear span of 44.2 m and an overall width of 10 m, its single arch rising to a height of 10.7 m above the river.
