Lon-Las Interchange is junction 44 of the M4. It was built in its present form in 1972 and formed the eastern terminus of the M4 Morriston bypass. The main line continued eastwards as the A48 to where it joined the 1955-built A48 Neath bypass just to the north of the now-demolished A48 railway bridge.
Although superficially it is a grade separated two bridge roundabout interchange, it differs from most as a result of the eastbound on-slip exiting the roundabout on the inside.
When the A48 was upgraded to M4 in 1993, the interchange remained unchanged.
