Neasden Junction

Neasdesn Junction ia a large, grade separated junction on the North Circular Road. It was built to replace a smaller junction called Neasden Circus which is slightly to the east of the current underpass (where Neasden Lane is currently used as a LILO northbound, and the southbound access has been closed. The current interchange partially opened 5th August 1973 and fully on 19th September 1973.

Original plans for grade separation of the junction as part of the Borough of Willesden Survey 1949 include a single carriageway underpass passing underneath a central roundabout for Neasden Lane traffic. Eventually, the roundabout was replaced by a signal controlled at-grade crossroads in March 1952 (using a temporary layout at first) at a total cost of £25,904.
