Parbroath Crossroads is the junction between the A92 and the A913 North West of Cupar, Fife. The two routes meet at a fairly acute angle, roughly in the middle of long straights on both roads. This has led to both arms of the A913 being realigned on the final approach to the junction, spreading them apart to produce a staggered junction with room for right turn lanes in the middle of the A92. The old line of the A913 can still be traced within the highway boundaries at the junction.
History
Until the early 1990s, it was the A914 that met the A913 here, the routes of the A914 and A92 being swapped to give a consistent number for the trunk route from the M90 to the Tay Road Bridge, a route which had become busier with the upgrades to the A92 further south. Until the line closed in the 1960s, there was also a railway which curved around the south side of the junction, passing under both the A914 and A913 in close proximity to the crossroads.
