Traffic Signals |
A pelican crossing is a type of pedestrian crossing controlled by traffic signals. Pedestrians cross the road by pressing a button located at the side of the road, which after a period of time shows traffic on the road a red signal, allowing pedestrians to cross.
The 2016 revision of the TSRGD rendered pelican crossings obsolescent and they are to be phased out when life expired.
