The R133 is a short link road to the M50 south of Dublin. Mainly a standard S2, with a short D2 section on the approach to the M50, it was built to link the R112 with the M50, it uses the first part of the path reserved for the proposed Dublin Eastern Bypass, which was cancelled. It also subsumes short section of the previous R825 which effectively multiplexes along this section.
