Salford Council

Salford City Council is the Highway Authority for all roads within the City of Salford Borough, with the exception of Trunk roads managed by National Highways.

It lies within the historic county of Lancashire.

Highways Management

Highway design and maintenance is undertaken by the Urban Vision Partnership Ltd, which is part of the wider Capita organisation on behalf of the Council. Traffic signals within the council area are the responsibility of Transport for Greater Manchester.
