Billy Jean's is the official name for junction 32A of the A55. It is named after a transport cafe at the junction. Other names by which it is or has been known are Springfield Halkyn, Pentre Halkyn and Casino Junction. It seems unlikely that there was ever an actual casino there, so perhaps the last name was a reference to users dicing with death at the original crossroads.
The flyover was opened in 1980. Its north-western approaches were altered with the construction of the nearby Holywell bypass in 1986, with the exit for eastbound traffic moved to the nearby Dolphin Junction to enable a part of the old A55 to remain as a separate road.
