This article is about the northbound side of Stafford services.
For the southbound side, see Stafford (South) services.
For the southbound side, see Stafford (South) services.

The northbound Stafford services opened in 1996, three years before the southbound services.
This is due to two competing companies requesting (and being granted) planning permission for the southbound services at the same time, which also explains why the two services have different operators despite sharing a name.
It is named in the 1990s trend after a place that is vaguely nearby - Stafford is approximately 7 miles to the south of the services; whilst the services themselves are just outside Stone.
The local access route connects to the B5026.
