Surely most 4-digit A-roads aren't misplaced as most were allocated after 1922, and were created based on what numbers were left (aside from Ax2xx roads outside of London). M5lenzar 10:05, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

I agree - misplaced 4-digit A-roads are Ax2xx roads (zones 1-5 only) that are outside London, and Ax0xx roads that are inside London. Misplaced B roads are Bxyz (where x and y are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5) roads outside London and other B roads in London (the boundary for Bxxx is ill-defined). --Sabristo simon 18:03, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
