Thame is a town in Oxfordshire, right next to the Buckinghamshire boundary. It has a weird bypass that goes round most of the town, a third of which is for a B road (the B4012). The A418 section of the bypass is built to a very high standard of single carriageway, as it was built with the expectation that it would become part of the Oxford - East Coast Ports road. It opened in 1980 and has a design speed of 100kph and a width of 7.3m with 1m hard strips.
