Torvean Roundabout is a new junction on the A82 in Inverness. It provides access to the A8082 Inverness West Link, and a second canal bridge providing an alternative route over the canal so road traffic is maintained at all times. The A82 branches here, the original route crossing the existing bridge to Tomnahurich Roundabout while the new branch of the A82 crosses the new bridge and reaches Tomnahurich Roundabout via Queens Park Roundabout (where the A8082 begins. VMS signs will direct traffic over the appropriate bridge.
General Booth Road has been re-routed to this roundabout, and is the signed route for HGV traffic to the A9 and A96, as it was before the roundabout was built - despite this being the C1118 not an A-road.
A fifth arm provides local access to the canal, as the construction of the roundabout has severed the existing access roads.
