Tullis Russell Roundabout is a junction in Glenrothes. It is currently a roundabout but bigger plans were proposed in the late 1960s when Glenrothes was being developed. The junction was intended to be grade separated in the form of a diamond interchange or roundabout interchange. The A92 would have been dualled and take a straighter line between here and Balfarg Junction with the result that the curve at Cadham Road to the north would be bypassed. Depending on the junction layout chosen, this curve could have become the northbound on-slip.
Plans for the New Town were scaled back so none of this happened and the junction was built as a plain roundabout with this section of A92 remaining as single carriageway. The B9130 comes in from the east to terminate at the junction, while a western arm serves the Paper Mill site on the banks of the River Leven. All four arms have two approach lanes to serve turning traffic, and there are two concentric lanes for circulating traffic.
