B3131 was the number allocated to the road from Clevedon to Portishead in 1922. In the 1935 renumberings, it was absorbed into an extended B3124, which resulted in there being a triangle and spur in Portishead. Then, as a further twist, when the road from Bristol to Portishead was upgraded to be the A369 in the 1950s, the B3124
