Despite being tight up to the edge of Bristol, the 1923 MOT map still just about manages to identify the route of the B3126.
The original route of the B3124 ran from Portishead into Bristol across the Clifton Suspension Bridge, meaning the section of road from Leigh Woods down to Ashton Gate needed another number, and so the B3126 was created. This route became part of
