B8049 : The B8049 is a convenient link from the A808 at Bearsden across to the A807 / A879 Allander Toll Roundabout west of Bardowie. The road was originally unclassified but had gained its number by 1932. Heading east on the A808 Roman Road in Bearsden, a wide entrance on the right marks the start of the B8049, immediately crossing the railway line. Showing the historic importance of this route, the B8049 continues to follow Roman Road, the A808 becoming Roman Drive. |
