B2 (Bride - Point of Ayre) :
The original B2 started in Bride village and wound down the hill to the coast at Port Cranstal (Phurt). It was subsequently extended, the only known example of one of the original B roads being extended, to reach Point of Ayre at some point before 1937. It was this full length which was subsequently renumbered as the A16 before 1963, which it remains today.
