I see not many people are listing the M96. I've done it both in a bus and on foot, as have a few other people on this thread...

If a motorway were built between Aberdeen and Inverness, what would the Fire Service College do then?

Anyone got any closer? I'm stuck, and annoyingly I went past the end of the A308(M) the other month and forgot to do it until I'd passed the junction.

They'd just call it the A96(M) to annoy SABRE.

I bagged the M180 last Sunday but didn't have time for the M181 as well.

That's unfortunate, you can do it both ways in about 5 minutes.

Let's see which motorways I've been on.

M1, M2, ....

Oh dear. Never been on the M2.
I was hoping to get the prize for the least motorways travelled on but you've beaten me by a mile.

I've done bits on the M1, M6, M5, M42 , M54, M4 (Ithink), M25 and a few up north that I can't remember (and couldn't care anyway, what they are) but have clocked up over a million miles on "proper" roads...;-)

I seem to have done most of my driving E/W from Cambridge, which doesn't fit well with picking up motorways. I have:

M1: 1-6, 13-17, 19-26
A1(M): 1-9, Alconbury-44
M3: 1-8 (not through M25 junction)
M4: M25-M48, M48-J37
M5: M42-Exeter
M11: all
M23: 7-8
M25: all (not through M11 junction)
M32: all
M40: 9-10 (by mistake)
M42: M5-M6
A48(M): all
M50: all
M54: all

In no real order: M90. A823(M). M9. M8. M73. M74/A74(M). M77. M898. M876. M6. M61 (ugh - not a pleasant experience). M6 Toll.

Not a massive list but I've done bits and pieces of motorways like the M1, M621, M62, M60, A38(M), A58(M) and the A1(M). I've also driven short sections of the M56 and the M5 and possibly the M42 (not too sure about that one since I don't know how the M6 Toll links with the regular M6 at that point so it might not count).

I've got a few. I have M48, M49, M32, M5 and M6 Toll. Oh, and the A48(M). I could have bagged a few more, but by the time I got to Warrington on my way to Ormskirk, I was tired and went straight for the M58, instead of M62/M57/M58.

I have actually done the whole lot, UK mainland and N Ireland, every mile. I was trying to work out which was the last bit (which I didn't notice at the time). I think it must have been the A1(M) in North Yorkshire, although I was well familiar with the old A1 whose alignment it is built on.

I'm still missing the new M8 gap and A8(M) - just not had a chance to get that way in the last few months...

I keep a record of the roads/motorways that I have covered here. I completed the M25 last week with the short journey between J20 and J21.
