Did anyone here see 'M. Khan is bent' on a flyover in the London area about 25 years ago?
Anyone heading along the former B586 at Moira will encounter "BARRY MILNER IS THICK", complete with comedy face, painted in big unfriendly letters along the bridge parapet near Conkers. Been there for a good 18 months or so now...
Are there any GOURANGAs left around the country? I'm thinking of the one around M1 J32 in particular.

Thread's only 2 pages long, so I'm the first to mention the "You are now leaving THE FUTURE" graffiti on that hut outside Cambridge on the A14 (Don't go looking for it - it's gone)...
As a Huntingdonian, I always imagined - if I were 20 years younger/still lived there (both, ideally) - spraying the words "Smug Entitlement welcomes careful drivers" on the side facing the rest of the world.
Brooke Sheilds Alphabet - which was mainly over London, but I noticed only today is still on the bridge abutments at Junction 4 of the M20, visible again after the overpainting has faded.

Could anyone tell me why CANED been painted on bridges and some walls from jct 32.
No, but I have noticed these myself lately.
I was wondering if they were "underground" advertising for a band perhaps?
IIRC there was a bridge in Liverpool that advertised the name of a band/song for a while a few decades back. Unless I am dreaming I think there was a local news piece on it a year or two ago.

There is way too many to be tags. Plus tags are used for marking a area that they run/own its a local thing. The first one is jct31a then every bridge till jct33 plus its on some walls and them old trailers that sit in farmers fields. And were done over one night.Must of known area very well as some of the bridges are way out in the sticks.
I suspect it is just a tag, by someone seeking wider notoriety. There are quite a few around Blackpool, however they use angular letters akin to "<ANE>" and not the square ones seen on the M6. There have been some articles in the local paper recently.
Second is about some anti-fracking graffiti on the Weeton Road bridge over the M55 between junctions 3 and 4 westbound. I use the road daily and noticed "Caned" had been there before, but seemed to have been disturbed: https://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news ... -1-9277221
The old Gerrards Cross railway viaduct over the M25 has been getting progressively worse in recent times, now far more than the latest Google image shows

I think there was one over the North Circular. At the eastern end of this road were the all-time classics "George Davis Is Innocent" at multiple points, often with the name of who his mates said had actually done it. Some of his are still around, if you know where to look https://www.google.com/maps/@51.5140901 ... 312!8i6656 , although not the one in the article below as the bridge has been rebuilt. These and others are recollected here :
There's still some graffiti near the railway line in Maryport that reads Bowie 77, which has probably been there since 1977 and either there is someone in the town called Bowie, or it could be a fan of David Bowie. Also until a few years ago, a wall in Tynemouth near the A193 had JIMI HENDRIX in big letters, which had been in situ for decades.
