If you go back on GSV the Trafford park estates railway used to go through that roundabout to CPC / Cargill but has been disused since the early 90's. https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4666614 ... 312!8i6656
I have some photo's of the area taken around 2004/05 that i must dig out.
I had seen those about 20 years ago when I worked in Manchester, but couldn't remember where they were.

The Croydon Tramlink just misses the roundabout here at Coombe Lane

https://www.google.com/maps/@51.3587397 ... 384!8i8192

But does cross straight through this roundabout further along in New Addington!

GSV here - I worked in the AEP tower in the background.

Columbus, Ohio? No level crossing, but how about Walsall instead

If we're allowing cases where the railway is at a higher or lower level than the roundabout, here are two that I don't think have been mentioned:

1) "Roscoe's roundabout" on the A560 at the end of the spur from the M60 at J2. The Altrincham-Stockport railway passes over it by two bridges, one of which dates from the original construction of the railway, while the other one was built with the motorway.

2) Part of the A446/A452 junction near Coleshill is now, or soon will be, a roundabout under the future line of HS2. This replaces the former roundabout over the M42 (which did not have slip roads to/from the motorway).

No mention, as far as I can see, of the A36 / A367 in Bath

A452 in Leamington Spa. Although the junction is no longer a roundabout.
Let it snow.

There's this little bit, reinstated in the middle of Viables roundabout on the exact alignment of the Basingstoke-Alton railway.
See here also, and for added interest to roundabout enthusiasts.

Not quite in the middle but this thread reminded me of the double roundabout at Norris Green, Liverpool. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nethe ... d-2.963085

Not so much the middle, but round it from the right to the middle of the building under construction. Less than 20 years since it was closed, no real trace left.

Thanks for sharing these! The Hastings one has all sorts of interesting features - it's a railway line that just pushes through a town centre and everything about it looks a bit strange. But clearly it works, presumably because it's not a very busy line.

However, what's really upsetting is that it's not in the middle of the fountain - it's offset. That's completely doing my head in.

(looking further afield, there's evidence that the line has probably been singled, mind)

Two in London's Docklands:

Cyprus station and Beckton Park station, both located on roundabouts on the A1020.
