Village Circle in Trafford Park was a recent example as the roundabout was built in the early 90s. It used to be a simple fork junction.

It will have trams crossing it from 2020 instead.

The East Coast Main Line runs underneath this roundabout where the A199 meets the A6094 and B1361 at Wallyford:

Germany has one near Cologne: https://www.google.com/maps/@50.989549, ... a=!3m1!1e3

If we want to cross the pond, there is exactly one on a freight rail line (with level crossing, of course) in the United States. In Florida, of all places: https://www.google.com/maps/@27.24394,- ... a=!3m1!1e3

There’s quite a few in New Zealand, including Kumara Junction, south of Greymouth.

How about this bit of unused and unattached track under the A228 in Kent?

There's one through the middle of the M4/M25 junction, which was the Staines & West Drayton railway and is now a short, rarely-used spur serving Colnbrook Industrial Estate: https://www.google.com/maps/@51.4952613 ... USbv1g!2e0

The roundabout at Catterick Garrison is unique in that the railway went across, rather than above or under, and traffic had to stop when a train was coming. I'd imagine, though, the trains were probably moving very slowly for safety reasons.

I've read that a new fuel depot serving Heathrow has opened up at Colnbrook, so line has more traffic now.

The Oldham-Rochdale loop used to cross the roundabout at the eastern end of Oldham Way on a bridge. When the line was being converted to tram use a temporary arrangement was to change it to a flat crossing.

The railway bridge also was famous for having an advert for the local surgical dressings company on its side.

To me, this post is purely about railways that cross roundabouts at grade. They are more unique.

There are too many grade-separated railways and road junctions to name.

It's not unique as some of the posts on this thread show.

In fact here's a screenshot of the one I referred to.

That's an interesting one.

Technically it was not a railway but a tramway that moved chalk from the quarries just south of Upper Halling to Lime Kilns just to the North of Peters Bridge. You can see the chalk pits here , now thoroughly reclaimed by nature.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.34646 ... a=!3m1!1e3

On the Medway you can see the remains of the dock from which the limes was shipped
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.34195 ... a=!3m1!1e3

What is baffling is why the line was not lifted as the whole shebang was abandoned decades before the roundabout was built.

I was wondering about the Weymouth harbour tramway, but this near miss seems to be the closest thing.

France has one: https://goo.gl/maps/CUxxnhC4s6Q2

It's actually on a line which recently reopened between Oloron and Bedous in the Pyrenees region (it's not on the GSV images because they're too old!).

The train used to have a bell to warn road users it was approaching.

Bruce Street Bridges in Swindon is a fairly boring example, but until about a year ago it was Magical
