No, it's not in there!
I know it's under construction because I drove past there yesterday!

JosephA22 wrote: Thu May 27, 2021 09:21 It was like that in the 2021 edition. The junction detail was one of the main things I always liked about the A-Z.

What seems strange to me (obviously without knowing why they have chosen to do this) is that "blob" junctions are now shown where the full detail was previously displayed, despite nothing having changed on the ground. Just took a look, and a random example is the A299, between the M2 and the A28. In my 2009 edition the junctions were all shown in detail, now it's all just green blob junctions. So they had to actively change the way it's displayed on an existing road, rather than just not including the full detail where junctions are rebuilt or new roads have appeared.
How very disappointing. The full junction details of the A-Z road atlases was their USP. I'll keep using my 2015 edition for now, even though it's now considerably out of date.

Has anyone on SABRE contacted A-Z to ask them why they have made this change, which diminishes the information provided to the user and reduces the reasons for buying an A-Z road atlas?

I wanted to buy a new atlas that shows the new A14 near Huntingdon and the greatly changed layout in Huntingdon itself. I might not bother now.

I couldn't help but notice the A-Z map of the A14 at Huntingdon that the cheesecake man has shown has an error. The B1514 from the A1 near Buckden to Brampton is shown as an unclassified road.

Have any of the errors on the 2021 A-Z been corrected for the 2022 edition ?. I have a list of errors from the 2021 atlas and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these have been corrected for the 2022 atlas. 1 = The B5359 at Alderley Edge is shown as the A535, 2 = Selby Road at Halton, Leeds is shown as the A63 (should be the B6159), 3 = Part of the B1224 at junction 46 of the A1(M) at Wetherby is shown as the A168, 4 = The B3217 is still shown at Okehampton and Exbourne even though it was downgraded to an unclassified minor road a few years ago, 5 = The B845 between the A85 at Taynuilt and Airds Bay is shown incorrectly as an unclassified minor road, 6 = The A91 between the M90 and St Andrews is shown as a Primary Route (should be Non Primary), 7 = The A630 between Rotherham and the A1(M) is shown as a Primary Route (should be Non Primary). Other minor errors are also shown. Have any of these errors been corrected for the 2022 atlas ?, also are the Aberdeen road number changes shown ?.

I did notice in the 2021 the A63 was still shown going through Halton in Leeds, interestingly most locals on Facebook groups also still call it the A63 one local from Halton actually told me I was wrong when I said it was the B6159 :? guess you cannot educate people....

I’ve just ordered my 2022 one coming tomorrow, I suspect the A63 will be amended for sure in 2023’s map as the A6120 will have moved onto its new bypass and the old A6120 is to become a B road so they might actually notice the A63 error.

Oh dear:

B5359 shown as A535
Selby Road shown as A63
B1224 shown as A168
B3217 shown as B3217
B845 shown as minor road
A91 shown as primary
A630 also primary

However, Aberdeen changes seem to be in place:

A90 going along bypass
A92 through city centre
etc.

The B1514 is signed to Brampton on the northbound A1. The sign is on the approach to the exit just north of Buckden. The A-Z shows this part of the B1514 as an unclassified minor road which is incorrect, also my question about whether the 2022 A-Z has included the Aberdeen road number changes was referring to the most recent changes that were discussed in digest recently (not the reclassification of the former A90 to the A92). As discussed in digest there have been a lot of changes and I was wondering if they are on the 2022 A-Z. North of Aberdeen the B977 has been extended north of Balmedie along the former A90 and I was also wondering if this is shown. It is however disappointing that all of the errors that were on the 2021 atlas are still on the 2022 edition.

At the risk of an unwanted diversion for the thread, what is this plan? The A30 is quite a long way from Monxton (since 1933).

Oh! Sorry, I was being dim. That always feels like one of the most unimproved (and charming) stretches.

Thank you Cheesecake man for the list. It looks like very little has changed since the 2021 version as far as I can tell.

When they arrive at my local WHSmith I will check it out.

It's still classified as a B road on Cambridgeshire's June 2021 list of classified roads.

It seems like some projects have taken a backwards step from 2021 to 2022:-

2022 A585 Singleton offline is Single carriageway whereas in 2021 is Dual Carriageway
2022 A9 Luncarty to Kingswood Dual Carriageway Under Construction, 2021 it is open.

The B977 is shown as running east as far as Balmedie, but not north of it.

What were the other Aberdeen alterations?
