On my very first solo trip from Kent to South Wales, I took a few detours to tick off some of the shorter motorways. So I did M20/M26/M25/M4/A308(M)/A404(M)/A329(M)/M32/M49/A48(M). Total of 10.

On the way back I did M4/M48/M25/M10/M2/M20.

When we were in Bury a couple of years ago I went for a drive whilst my partner had a bath in the hotel. M66/M60 (complete circuit!)/M67/M602/A57(M)/A627(M). Total of 6, or if you "count" M63, A6144(M) and M68, 9. :-D

Lived there for three years... we lived at 404 - very convenient for the pool

M90 (around Perth)
M9
M80
M73
M74
A74(M)
M6
M6 (Toll)
M42
M40
M25
M23
and putting in Folkestone as the end-point gives one more i.e. M26 then M20 instead of M23. Of course, it's the second recommended route rather than the main one involving A66, A1/A1(M), A14, M11 then M25 the other way.

He does like his baths! Haha! He had actually been out of the bath for a while and was reading his book on the bed when I got back. 🙂
